How to get help with Chattypod, report a problem, or reach us.

In danger right now? Call 911 (or your local emergency number). In the US you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.

Report someone or something in the app

This is the fastest way to reach our moderators, because the report includes the message or profile in question.

  • A message: long-press it (or hover over it on a computer) and choose Report.
  • A person: open their profile and choose Report. You can block them from the same page: you won't see their room messages and they can't message you.
  • In a room: type @bot report @username reason to report someone (only the moderators and our team see who reported), or @bot mods to call the room's moderators.

Our team reviews reports within 24 hours. See the Community Guidelines for what's allowed.

Email us

For anything else, email support@chattypod.com from any address. Tell us your username and what happened, and add screenshots if they help. Never send us your password.

  • Account help: you can reset a forgotten password yourself on the sign-in screen ("Forgot password"); we send a code to your email.
  • Appeals: if you think a moderation decision was a mistake, email us with your username and what happened.
  • Privacy requests: you can download your data in Settings › Download my data. We answer other privacy requests within one month (Privacy Policy).
  • Deleting your account: see Delete your account.

Emails are read and answered by people, in the order they arrive. Reports made in the app are reviewed first, so use those for anything happening in a chat.

Keep your account safe

  • If you think someone else has access, change your password in Settings › Change password. That signs out every other device.
  • Settings › Devices shows where you're signed in and lets you sign out devices you don't recognise.
  • We will never ask for your password or a sign-in code by email, message or in a room.

  • Child sexual exploitation: report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678, and report the account in the app.
  • Immediate danger: call 911.
