Join live public rooms by topic or place and see who's there and who's typing. Members can propose a new room, and it opens once enough people vote for it.
Private chats, groups and friends
Message anyone one to one, start group chats, and add friends. Read receipts, replies and unread counts keep conversations easy to follow.
Photos, voice notes, GIFs and stickers
Send photos, voice messages and GIFs, and collect sticker packs from the Sticker Store, including packs made by the community.
See who's online
Who's online shows people around right now. Filter by country, see who's new, and open a profile preview before you say hi.
Points and ranks
Likes on your messages earn points, and points move you up the ranks. Spend them on premium sticker packs.
Podbot, the room bot
Every room has Podbot. It shares the room's rules, takes reports and calls the moderators when needed. Type @bot help in any room to see what it can do.
Videos play right in the chat
Share a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Vimeo, Twitch or Spotify link and it plays in the official player inside the app, no app-switching.
Safety built in
Room moderators, blocking, reporting on every message and profile, and a word filter. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
For 16 and over
Chattypod is for people aged 16+. We check your date of birth at sign-up, and accounts that belong to anyone younger are removed.

Is it free?
Yes. Chattypod is free to use, with no ads.
Who can join?
Anyone aged 16 or over who agrees to our Terms and Community Guidelines.
Is my phone number needed?
No. You sign up with a username, a password and your email address. We send a code to your email to confirm it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, it works in your phone's browser today. Our iPhone and Android apps are coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
How do I delete my account?
In the app go to Profile › Settings › Delete account. Your account is removed after 7 days unless you sign in again. What gets deleted and other options.
How do I report someone?
Long-press or hover over a message and choose Report, or report a profile from the person's page. You can also block anyone. More on the Support page.
